Tokens

No cash? No problem!

Just swing by our farmers market information booth and we can swipe your credit card for farmer’s market tokens. We accept all ATM/Debit Cards, as well as, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. The farmer’s market tokens are valid at all of our 6 weekly markets, accepted by all Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market vendors, and never expire. They are available in $1, $5, and $10 increments. A fun way to shop at the farmers market!

EBT Tokens are also sold at our market information booth. We will match up to the first $10 in EBT tokens purchased per market day ($10 transaction = $20 in tokens to spend on fresh fruits and veggies!)

Cal-Fresh EBT: Market Match

The SBCFMA is proud to be involved with a number of important programs and services. For your convenience, all of our weekly farmers’ markets accept CalFresh EBT, which can be used to purchase tokens at our Market Information Booth. Just look for the green Santa Barbara Farmers’ Market tent. For those who currently purchase their food with a CalFresh EBT card, make sure to take advantage of our Market Match program, where up to the first $10 of every purchase using your EBT card per market day gets you up to an additional $10 in FREE Market Match tokens to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables. Please note that farmers are not legally permitted to give cash change back for CalFresh EBT tokens, WIC, Senior WIC, and FMNP transactions.

Community Access Booths

Availability of space in the market: SBCFMA's priority is to make space available to farmers and other vendors as permitted by our conditional use permit. No space in the market is reserved for community groups, and access is subject to there being a space available. We do not accept applications from political organizations. Political candidates, however, are welcome to submit an application but must be personally present at the farmers market. Groups who submit applications are not guaranteed space in our markets. The SBCFMA has the right to reject any application as they see fit.

First come, first served: Groups that wish to set up an information booth at SBCFMA markets must contact the office by letter, fax, or email, and indicate the date(s) they wish to attend. Space will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, provided that the group meets the criteria (see Download Application above).

Please note: SBCFMA does not accept Community Access applications our Tuesday State Street (no physical space available), and Sunday Camino Real Marketplace. Space is also often unavailable from April-September at our Wednesday Solvang market. Completed applications can be emailed to sam@sbfarmersmarket.org
