Welcome to The
Santa Barbara Certified Farmers’ Market Assn.
The Downtown Santa Barbara Farmers' Market will be OPEN on Saturday July 4th. All of our markets surrounding the holiday will also be OPEN as regularly scheduled.
Attention Santa Barbara Community: ALL Santa Barbara Certified Farmers' Markets remain OPEN as regularly scheduled. Protecting public health is paramount and we all need to take numerous additional precautions during this time to prevent the spread of infection. Some of this protocol includes; staying home if you're sick or in a high risk demographic, washing hands regularly, only touching what you intend to buy, maintaining 6-feet of social distancing (please be patient and considerate of those around you), and covering your mouth and nose with with a mask. Masks are a requirement for both customers and sellers and must be worn at all times when visiting any of our weekly farmers' market. Masks are available for sale at our market information booth upon arrival if needed. At this time, our farmers' markets should be treated solely as a grocery outlet, and not a social gathering space, to ensure an efficient flow in and out of the marketplace. Food sampling is also prohibited at this time. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in continuing to keep our farm-direct grocery outlet a safe and healthy environment.
The Santa Barbara Barbara Certified Farmers’ Market Association is a non-profit mutual benefit corporation that was founded in 1983 to provide California farmers with direct access, at landmark locations, to market their cultivated products to the local community. Our Association of 120 grower members, owned and operated by the members and it’s board of directors, is committed to helping promote local farmers, and protecting the environment by sustaining and restoring surrounding agricultural areas. The SBCFMA works diligently to bring the freshest and most nutritious produce our rich, local agricultural land has to offer direct to the public. The markets serve to strengthen local community ties and magnify our great outdoors with weekly events while enhancing our locals activities. Each week our farmers harvest a diverse and nourishing bounty from as far away as the California’s Central Valley and as near as the foothills. Seasonal diversity is available year round rain or shine. From the farmer’s hand to you!
